Bombardier Produit Récréatifs (BPR)
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) banks on Cogep’s expertise.
Implementation of Cogep’s (CMMS/EAM) maintenance software at BRP dates back to the early 1990s. The people at Bombardier chose Guide as their specialized maintenance software, despite the fact that an SAP ERP system had already been implemented. The software’s features, Cogep’s know-how and support available were the determining factors in its selection. All 9 plants of the company’s Valcourt site use the same database to manager their corrective and preventive maintenance. Once the maintenance solution, with links to the SAP financial system and a barcode system was implemented, a continuous optimization phase followed. With the help of performance indicators, managers now make swift and informed decisions, resulting in lower asset maintenance costs.
BRP’s U.S. plant also uses Cogep maintenance software. In fact, it has used Guide from the outset, when the plant was first built, to effectively track equipment startup and as a means of obtaining a history of total costs from the first day of operations. Again, despite the distance that separates Cogep and BRP, Cogep’s customer support and service made the difference and BRP’s maintenance employees are extremely satisfied with their relationship with Cogep.
The success of the BRP maintenance project is attributed to a specific and adapted implementation of Guide, Cogep’s ongoing support during the project and the introduction of performance indicators that identify problem situations immediately.
